GALLERY 2: HONG KONG
Here is a slidehow of Hong Kong from 1987 when I arrived to each at HKU to the Handover in 1997. Here is a Hong Kong most people won't know. The first map shows the main walking trails, and a map marks off the sections. But first, a tour of HK Island, HKU, walk from Aberdeen to Repulse Bay. We go next to Kowloon, see a lion dance, then walk the MacLehose Trail and Pat Sing Leng near Tai Po where the HK Institute of Education is (now there's a story!). Seafood at Lamma Island by fast boat, then walk the Lantau Trail, and cable car to the Buddha. Then it's time for the British emblems to come down and the Dragon takes over.
